Development, with agents.

Build and ship software with agents on Cana Desktop. The code editor, terminal, browser preview and Kubernetes view sit next to your agents, so you can plan the work, review every change and roll it back if you need to.

Agents next to your code

Run agent chats in tabs beside the project they are working on.

Editor built in

Read and edit code in Cana Desktop's own code editor.

Run and preview

Built-in terminal and browser to run your project and see the result.

You approve the changes

Every file edit shows as a diff you approve or deny before it lands.

Development

Plan first, then let agents build

Ask an agent for a plan, approve it, and follow its to-do list as it works. Review each file edit as a diff, and rewind a turn to undo the files it changed.

  • Plan mode with approval
  • Live to-do list for each task
  • Diff review on every file edit
  • Rewind a turn and restore files

FAQ

Good questions.

Do I have to switch editors?

Which operating systems does it run on?

Cana Desktop runs on macOS and Windows.

How do I get started with Development?

Start a Cana chat, then open Development from the Solutions area when it fits the work you need to do.

How do I control what an agent can do?

Choose the permission level that fits the task: Ask, Accept Edits, Research and Plan, or Bypass All.

Can I connect tools to this work?

Cana can use connected apps and remote MCP servers when you have connected and allowed those tools.
